Home Birth Midwifery Services

Currently serving as a student midwife for my own clients under supervision.

I decided to pursue midwifery soon after my youngest was born, and began by becoming a labor doula, certified through CAPPA. Soon after, I trained and certified through CAPPA to become a childbirth educator, teaching classes at Preparing for Birth. I have also been a faculty member with CAPPA, training others to become childbirth educators.

I am now pursuing midwifery full-time as a candidate for Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the North American Registry of Midwives Portfolio Evaluation Process (NARM-PEP) in the Primary Under Supervision phase of training. This means that I am an advanced student, capable of caring for a mother and her baby from the conception through six weeks postpartum under the direct supervision of a CPM. My goal is to sit for my exam and obtain my NARM certification, as well as my Colorado State registration, in late 2018.

I am not currently practicing on my own, rather I perform all necessary care for my clients under the direct supervision of my preceptor, Desirre Andrews, CPM, RM (prepforbirth.com) until I have earned my NARM certification and have registered with the State of Colorado. This means that she will be physically present for all appointments as well as the birth, and that all state paperwork, the financial agreement, and insurance billing are completed under her Colorado registration.

Thank you so much for your interest in my journey! I look forward to serving women more fully as a midwife, but in the meantime, I would be delighted to begin a conversation!

Grace & Peace,
